Hi everyone, I’m Anil Kody, and I’ve been using my MacBook with macOS Sonoma for the past 8 months. One thing I really enjoy about macOS is its support for live wallpapers and screen savers . However, I was curious if there was a way to set a custom video as my wallpaper since the default options didn’t include this feature.
After some searching, I found a method that worked perfectly for me. Today, I’m excited to share with you how you can easily set any video as your live wallpaper on a MacBook running macOS Sonoma!
Understanding Dynamic Desktop on macOS Sonoma
macOS Sonoma introduces Dynamic Desktop, allowing users to set Dynamic live wallpapers and screensavers that change throughout the day based on the time. While this feature enhances the visual appeal of your desktop with pre-set dynamic wallpapers, it doesn’t offer an option to personalize your desktop with your own videos directly through the system preferences.
